As Seen By Failte Ireland

InnisfreeI have just received this “copy”
from a Failte Ireland copywriter

It was sent to me for comment and approval so I assume they are going to use it as part of their promotion of Spiritual Tourism in Ireland.

I was absolutely delighted by this and will indeed use this myself too ….

And it was said …

Stonehenge, highlighted by evening sun casting powerful stone shadows across the land. This is an abiding picture that remains with John of Celtic Ways since he was 6 years old.

John always knew where his interests lay and armed with an acute sense of self awareness he set out on a journey which evolved into Celtic Ways and now Celtic Dreamtime. A combined passion for history, sacred sites, faith and nature have all played a part in the passage from John the youngster to John the man. Along with his partner Claire, a wonderful harper bard who relays her stories and lore through her voice and harps, they have created an experience to be shared. This experience explores the past through stories, ceilí, contemplation; regeneration and creativity, whilst embracing the consequent times present.

Based in a traditional thatched cottage in rural Sligo; Celtic Dreamtime offers to its visiting friends a lot of fun while fulfilling experiences and “Old Ways” by means of stories, poems, songs and harp music of the complimented by delicious dining. The cottage is fronted by a 7 circle “Two Worlds” labyrinth which is on axis with Morrigu’s mountain, a wonderful place for meditation and contemplation as well as gathering and union. Situated just a skimming stone’s throw from the sacred and remarkable viewpoint of Carrowkeel Cairns, the surreal Lough Arrow, and several peaceful nature walks that heighten all senses, and promote wellbeing, happiness and inspiration for creativity.

Slightly further afield, guided visits to ancient sacred cairns, circles, woods and cairns remain intimate through John’s related awareness and understanding. Accommodation is provided at the nearby eco friendly farmhouse accommodation, Ballaghboy Lodge. Here Eddie and Karen provide sensitive hospitality, seclusion and comfort, enhanced by spectacular lake and mountain views.

Celtic Ways offers a myriad of choices when visiting the County Sligo area. Choose what direction you would like to take and let your Celtic Dreamtime guide you. Tailored to individuals, families or groups needs, everyone will be inspired by the past to embrace their present and future.
