If you would like breakfast, which is included in fee, arrive a bit earlier.

How the programme will go after 10:00 am will be fairly “go with the flow” through a journey of the sites and people of Moytura plus some things that you’ll be able to take away to enhance your own life as this is a journey through conflict that ended in contentment

Closure of the day from the centre of our

More about Robin Williamson…

The harper bard tradition is the core of Ireland's spirit and founding.

This is an extremely rare experience to share this with a passionate bard, Robin Williamson, who's underlying life's work is to continue and pass on this tradition and spirit

Robin has an inexhaustible catalogue of songs, music, stories and comedy to provide us with an outstanding show and day's workshop on being a bard.

Robin's catalogue has been built from ….

  • his early Scottish folk club days with Bert Jansch
  • founding of the colourful and delightful Incredible String Band
  • time in the USA entertaining with his Merry Band
  • fun shows on BBC television
  • his journey into Celtic mythology and stories and past 25 years as a bardRobin80sthumb
  • including time as Chief of the Order of Druid, Bards and Ovates
  • and now a variety of events solo, with John Renbourn
  • and sacred events with his beautiful talented wife Bina.

There are at least 14 Incredible String Band albums featuring Robin, 3 Merry Men band CDs, award winning CD with John Renbourn, countless solo CDs, at least 25 of those, and several books published plus a beautiful CD, soon to be released, with his wife Bina, including some beautiful Psalms set to ancient music.
Also lets not forget Robin's paintings, prints for sale at the concert and workshop, where you can also book and order originals too.

Robin has many celebrity fans including unexpected such as Mick Jagger and the late Princess Dianna

Perhaps the most devoted celebrity fan is Robert Plant who is said to have wanted Led Zeppelin to do a cover of one of Robin's songs to which John Bonham said "feck off!", or similar. So Robert Plant grew a beard to look like Robin then tried to write a song like Robin and from this "Stairway To Heaven!" dominated world music.

Here's a variety of video clips that introduces some variationHangmanthumb
