Brigid known by many names, and each name pronounced in many ways,
Bride, Bridey, Brighid, Brigit, Briggidda, seem to be the most common spellings
with “brijid”, “breet”, and breed” being the most common pronounciations.

Here is our stories of Brigid, we call "breed", from Goddess to Saint,
but these are not the only stories as you may well have your own story
that can also lovingly embrace us all …

stories we share with our visitors, within our labyrinths …

Brigid is traditionally revered as a patroness of healing, poetry and smithcraft, and
is visioned as wandering the earth followed by her flock of cows, abundant with milk,
to feed everyone. Spritually, Brigid is linked to light and as the keeper of the hearth of fire.
Brigid is also regarded as the midwife of all life.

Brigid's “Four Cille's Of Instruction”

A story of Brigid forming four cells, schools, to instruct the cycle of life
schools founded by the three sons of Anu as well as herself.
A story that has some alignment to the four fire festivals of Erin,
creation of the Celtic Cross, and four quadrants of the Chaldean astrology chart
now used by western astrologers.

Brigid, the Inspiration of Bards?

As the patroness of poetry, Brigid is said to be the inspiration and guide of
the filidhechts, the carriers of bardic lore extracted from nature.
Through their skills of wisdom and retained knowledge they served
the guidance and teaching in ancient times.
