Our guided visits to passage cairns, stone circles and sacred wells around counties, Sligo, Leitrim, Cavan, Fermanagh, and Roscommon are a very popular inclusion in the itineraries of people visiting Ireland.
These are wonderful places of peace and tranquility, ideal for personal meditation and connection to a greater spirit. Simply, here is space where you can soak in the fresh air and gentle sights and sounds of nature. The views from some of these sites, especially our local Carrowkeel, are amongst the most breathtaking views in Ireland.
We also take folks to wonderful places that introduce our ancient seasonal traditions that are still alive and celebrated in rural Ireland. This includes our own Celtic Ways centre in Co. Sligo .
We can include visits to our spectacular coastline with beautiful pristine beaches, and visits to small town craft shops and country workshops.
We can also arrange time for playing golf, horse riding, fishing and canoeing.
Sacred Sites we visit by request.

Celtic Ways, Co. Sligo
Our thatched cottage ceili home, “Two Worlds” little theatre, Labyrinth Garden, and our eco-diner constructed with wood, hemp and lime. A`place to feel the Celtic Spirit, be inspired, connect to nature, become a shaman (no its not about power and magic!), a place to commence your journal and even become a bard.

- Augh Killy Maude Men Of Straw, Co. Fermanagh
Actually, not just men as many women are here too, but here we share an ancient tradition of folk drama that evolved from the rituals of ancient sites and even into the basic theme of Star Wars. This is a place for a fun day out to enjoy a complete spectrum of Irish traditions of drama, poetry.
Hennigan’s Heritage, Co. Mayo
Tom Hennigan combines his very entertaining storytelling with a complete presentation of the heritage of Ireland starting with a colourful presentation and description of life in his family cottage over 200 years, the truth about the famine, clearances and penal times, and a stirring presentation of stories about his collection of replicas and models from very ancient times until the present. Some say you’ll never understand Ireland unless you visit here.
- Glencolumcille Turas, Co. Donegal
Sacred walking journey of 15 stations marked by ancient cairns, ancient carved standing stones, sacred wells and remains of chapels, later dedicated to Columcille, better known to many as St. Columba. At the end our travellers enjoy visiting the nearby restored 19th century village, gaelic college and gift shop and share their walking experience at Biddy’s Bar while enjoying its almost non stop traditional music sessions.
Coleman Traditional Music Centre, Co. Sligo
Dedicated to fiddler Michael Coleman who’s fiddle music style not only became legendary across Ireland but also through the USA where it founded the bluegrass tradition. A great place for all traditional music with cds, easy to learn traditional instruments and music sessions. Nice gift shop

Local Accommodation
This is also work in progress featuring our favourite local accommodation. You can book yourself online or we can do this for you, with no mark up or booking charge, and charge you a single package price.
Cromleach Lodge, Co. Sligo,
Luxury four star hotel with one of the best hotel views in Ireland across the Moytura plateau, Bricklieve Mountains and the Carrowkeel Cairns, Cheis Coarran Morrigan’s Mountain, Knocknarea Maeve’s Mountain, and the surrealistic Lough arrow. Stunning dining and caring staff who do not hesitate to deal with any detail, plus spa facilities. Well worth paying a little extra to stay here to ensure a perfect vacation.
- Royal Hotel, Boyle, Co. Roscommon,
One of the few remaining 18th century Coach Houses in Ireland that is currently being passionately restored rather than gutted and modernized. Very traditional in many ways, and being beside the Boyle River several residents even try their hand at fishing from their bedroom window or balcony. Popular because of its central location in a small town, if preferred to a quiet country location plus accommodation tarrifs are quite modest.
Markree Castle, Co. Sligo,
Genuine Irish castle that has remained almost the same since its re-build from a previous medieval castle during the 1800s. Primarily a “fairy tale” wedding venue and when available outside of wedding dates normally charges quite high b&b rates. However, they do currently have one night only specials of only €49 a night that is well worth trying. A bit quirky but a lot of fun as its site and grounds are stacked with ancient history, legends, mythology and sighted ghosts (friendly ones).
- Keash Corran Cottage, Co. Sligo,
Immediately below Cheis Coarran Caves and Morrigan’s Mountain, this truly Irish country cottage central to the heart to Irish mythology, provides intimate traditional bed and
breakfast from only €27 per night, including free broadband internet connection. House has two resident cats, perfect for animal lovers but for allergy sufferers try the next option …..
- Lough Gara Lodge , Co. Sligo,
Converted old cottage providing comfortable accommodation with stunningly helpful innkeepers, beside Lough Gara on the borderline of counties Sligo, Roscommon and Mayo. Within a small remote traditional village, local pub has weekend traditional music sessions, is quite handy for horse riding and canoeing too.
