"be a Travel Writer?

.... and travel anywhere.

Travel writing seems romantic but hard to get into, and even harder to be taken seriously.

Like a lot of good things it's not complicated to do, but you do have to know how to find right contacts and know a few simple techniques to get you started and accepted right away.

I would like to introduce you to some guides, written by real travel writers. These people are often refusing work as they cannot do all that is offered to them.
This info is not expensive ......

.... our local top choices,  and our  day tours  can pick you up from these

Markree Castle viewed from river Shannon & Erne Barge    waterways adventure
Cruise the Shannon & Erne through the ancient region of Bréifne. Self catering. Spacious, sleeps up to 6 adults and two children. Comfortable, modern amenities, wood burning stove. Costs from 150 - 300 euros per person per 7 days when 4 or 6 people travel together.
You can reach many sacred and pilgrimage islands that are not possible by road or ferry. Celtic Ways can provide guided tours of these islands and pick you up from any mooring on the waterway for inland half day tours.

Markree Castle viewed from river The Gyreum    backpacker's hostel
This must be the most unique hostel on the planet.
Sensitively sited on an ancient rath with alignments to many ancient sites around. This is an eco lodge situated in the heart of Moytura.
A wonderful place to spend some time at and surprisingly inexpensive. There are 3 dorm rooms and 1 private room for a couple or family. Close to many eco-activities.

Markree Castle viewed from river Lough Gara Lodge    budget b&b guest house
This is our favourite guest house. Not only is the location scenic and peaceful but the owners provide wonderful service, comfortable rooms and the best breakfast. There is also the fastest broadband internet connection in every room without extra charge. The owner is an IT tekkie.
This large guest house provides comforts and amenities that would normally be 2 - 3 times its rate in hotels.
We now commence most of our tours from here.
